Say: "O Lord, if I am made to see what has been promised them, 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will reply, "Lord, our hard-heartedness overcame us and we went astray. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
