The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 and the scarers scaring 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
