Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created man. 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
