(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 from which you turn away. 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 The Lord said, "I swear by the Truth - and I speak the Truth - 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
