We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 and We cradled the earth. And We are the Best of Cradlers. 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 Therefore flee unto God! I am a clear warner from Him to you. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. 55 And I created the jinns and men, only for them to worship Me. 56 I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 it is God who is the great Sustainer, the Mighty One, the Invincible. 58 Those who do wrong will indeed come to the same end as their fellows (of old). So let them not ask Me to hasten (the punishment). 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
