No affliction can befall man but by God's permission -- He guides the hearts of those who believe in Him: God has knowledge of all things -- 11 And obey Allah and obey the Apostle, but if you turn back, then upon Our Apostle devolves only the clear delivery (of the message). 12 God is the only Lord and in Him the believers should trust. 13 Believers, some of your wives and children may prove to be your enemies so beware of them. However, if you would pardon, ignore and forgive, know that God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 14 Your wealth and your children are only a temptation, whereas Allah! with Him is an immense reward. 15 Have as much fear of God as best as you can. Listen to the Messenger, obey him, and spend for your own sake good things for the cause of God. Those who control their greed will have everlasting happiness. 16 If you lend to Allah a goodly loan (i.e. spend in Allah's Cause) He will double it for you, and will forgive you. And Allah is Most Ready to appreciate and to reward, Most Forbearing, 17 Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, the Mighty, the Wise. 18
