Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
