Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
