Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
