Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
