Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O Descendants of Israel (Jacob)! Remember My favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant towards Me, I shall fulfil My covenant towards you; and fear Me alone. 40 And believe in what I have sent down confirming what is with you, and do not be the first to disbelieve it. Do not sell My verses for a little price and fear Me. 41 And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it]. 42 Be steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax (zakat) and bow down in worship with those who do the same. 43 ۞ How is it that you enjoin others to follow the Right Way, but forget it yourselves, though you read the Scriptures? Have you no sense at all? 44 And seek assistance through patience and prayer, and most surely it is a hard thing except for the humble ones, 45 who reckon that they will meet their Lord and that to Him they will return. 46
