Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And tall date-palms laden with clusters ranged. 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of ArRass belied and so did Thamood 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
