Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 Who know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
