He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 By him confirm my strength 31 And share my task, 32 so that we may glorify 33 And much remember Thee. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
