The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created man 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
