Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
