Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
