The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
