Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 [Long] before those [who now deny resurrection] did Noah's people give the lie to this truth, and [so did] the folk of Ar-Rass, and [the tribes of] Thamud 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
