Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
