The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
