And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much. 30 You cannot challenge God on earth and you will have no one besides Him as your guardian or helper. 31 And among His signs are the ships sailing on the sea, like hills. 32 if He will, He calms the wind so that they remain motionless upon its back, surely, there are signs in this for every thankful, patient (person). 33 He may, while forgiving much of the sins of those that ride these ships, drown them on account of some of their misdeeds. 34 And those who dispute (polytheists, etc. with Our Messenger Muhammad SAW) as regards Our Ayat (proofs, signs, verses, etc. of Islamic Monotheism) may know that there is no place of refuge for them (from Allah's punishment). 35 So whatever you have been given is but a passing enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs). 36 Those who avoid the greater crimes and shameful deeds, and, when they are angry even then forgive; 37 Who obey the commands of their Lord and fulfil their devotional obligations, whose affairs are settled by mutual consultation, who spend of what We have given them, 38 And those who defend themselves when they are wronged. 39 Let harm be requited by an equal harm. But whoever pardons and amends will find his reward with God. He does not love the wrongdoers. 40 Yet indeed, as for any who defend themselves after having been wronged - no blame whatever attaches to them: 41 The blame is only against those who wrong people, and are wrongfully insolent in the earth, for them there is a painful punishment. 42 And whoever is patient and forgiving, these most surely are actions due to courage. 43
