▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. 46 (jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 47 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- 48 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 49 In each of the two Gardens are two flowing springs. 50 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 51 In them will be Fruits of every kind, two and two. 52 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 53 Reclining upon thrones that are lined with brocade, with the fruit of both Gardens close enough to be picked from under. 54 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55 Therein are maidens of modest gaze, whom neither a man nor a jinn had ever touched before them. 56 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 57 [When you are promised splendours] as though [of] rubies and [of] pearls 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 59 Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? 60 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,- 62 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 63 green, green pastures -- 64 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 65 Therein are two gushing fountains of water. 66 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 69 Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful - 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 Fair ones, confined in tents. 72 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 73 Untouched by any man or jinn, before them. 74 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 75 [In such a paradise will they dwell,] reclining upon meadows green and carpets rich in beauty. 76 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 77 Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. 78
