And Nuh's people belied the sent ones. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 (Noah) said, "I have no knowledge of their deeds. 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
