1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 And take in thine hand a handful of twigs, and strike therewith, and break not thine oath. Verily We! We found him patient. How excellent a bondman! Verily he was oft-returning. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good! 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 wherein they shall recline, wherein they shall ask for abundant fruit and drinks, 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 And other torments, like thereof, conjoined. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
