Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
