Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble scribes, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 to burn therein. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
