Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
