The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);- 2 And when the earth is stretched forth, 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 And attentive to her Lord in fear! 5 O man, indeed you have to surely run towards your Lord, and to meet him. 6 Then he who is given his Record in his right hand, 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 And will return unto his folk in joy. 9 But he who is given the Record behind his back, 10 shall cry for “perdition,” 11 And he shall roast into a Blaze. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 Surely yes, why not? Indeed his Lord is seeing him. 15 Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And by the night and that which it driveth together, 17 by the moon, in its fullness 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 What is the matter with them? Why do they not believe? 20 And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13) ۩ 21 In fact the disbelievers keep denying. 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off. 25
