Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
