Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
