Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
