The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
