Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 Some faces will on that Day be downcast, 2 Travailing, worn. 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 in a sublime Garden, 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 and goblets laid out, 14 and arranged cushions 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
