The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them. It was the chastisement of a very awesome day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
