AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth! We have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent Spreader are We! 48 and We created pairs of all things so that you might reflect. 49 Therefore, flee to Allah. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 50 Do not set up with Allah another god. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 51 Thus there did not come to those before them an apostle but they said: A magician or a mad man. 52 Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. 55 We have created jinn and human beings only that they might worship Me. 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Surely Allah is the Bestower of sustenance, the Lord of Power, the Strong. 58 The wrongdoers will meet the same fate as their predecessors, let them not ask Me to hasten on [the punishment], 59 Woe to the disbelievers when the day with which they have been threatened comes! 60
