Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 and We poured a rain [of destruction] down upon them -- and how evil was the rain which fell on those who were forewarned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
