The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
