We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
