The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
