The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning brightness 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
