And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
