Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
