Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

True are the words of God the Almighty.
