The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet - peace and blessings be upon him. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
