Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 They say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
