We have set constellations in the heavens and made them pleasing to the beholders, 16 and guarded them from every stoned satan. 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and him there followeth a flame gleaming. 18 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 And We sent the winds that relieve the clouds’ burden, therefore caused water to descend from the sky, then give it to you to drink; and you are not at all its treasurers. 22 And surely, it is We who give life and make to die. We are the Inheritor. 23 We know the ones of you who press forward, and We know the laggards; 24 And surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowing. 25
