The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are devising guile, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
