The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 It may be thou frettest thy soul with grief, that they do not become Believers. 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 So they have cried lies; therefore assuredly tidings will come to them of that they mocked at. 6 Have they not seen the earth in which We have made gracious plants grow? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
