Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
